APs Matter

I’m currently independently studying AP Environmental Science. Why? Because clearly I hate having a social life.

I’ve also been taking AP Economics, undoubtedly one of the hardest courses I’ve ever endured.

Nevertheless, studying these courses has changed my outlook on the world. Before, I planned to major in Psychology and Political Science. Now, in a near 180 turn, my sights on set on Economics and Environmental Science. Had I not taken either AP course, my entire life plan would’ve been different.

AP classes sometimes get a bad rap for testing to a test and for leaving out student work in the interest of presenting all the materials. Maybe that’s true some of the time, but only in the past six months, APs have changed things for me. They’ve gotten me to set goals and strive to achieve them. I read a statistic the other day that more students are taking APs. I’m not surprised.
